Is the mobile revolution here to stay? Yesterday Google launched two new services, Google Offers and Google Wallet.

Google Offers

As an answer to Groupon and Facebook Deal Google now opens Google Offers that offers local deals and offers.
Google will begin rolling out the Google Offers service in New York and the San Francisco Bay Area in the near future. Portland area businesses can indicate that they’re interested in joining the Google Offers program here. If you’re a business owner that is not in the Portland area you can indicate that you’re interested in being notified about the arrival of the service here.

Google Wallet

Google now launches their own service for mobile Payments. I works wireless, just tap your phone to pay with the virtual payment cards stored in your Google Wallet. When Google Wallet launches, it will support these cards:

• Citi® MasterCard®
• the Google Prepaid Card
• gift cards at participating merchants

Google aim to eventually support all the payment cards you keep in your leather wallet today.
